They Come in the Fall
The rare coastal Matsutake mushrooms burst out of the ground each year around Thanksgiving. They only grow in sand under coastal pines here. They are white like a summer cloud or like an angel… I have combined them with another fall mushroom that is delicate and beautiful... the quirky Scurfy Twiglet.
