On the Sea Floor

Giant Pacific Octopus spend most of their time on the ocean floor in this recumbent pose. It's the hardest positioning to faithfully reproduce. This specimen also had a wonderfully defined cape. I loved using 24 K gold to highlight its eye… very close to what they look like in real life!
