New Zealand / Aotearoa Silver Fern

I printed this remarkable fern on a recent trip to this island nation. Along with the Kiwi this image is an icon for Aotearoa. The unfolding “koru” or young fern is a metaphor for new beginnings and youth. The full size fern can grown up to 3 feet high and a frond like this up to 13 feet!
