From Below

This is the under-side of a Giant Pacific Octopus that is rarely seen. I fell in love with this pose during a visit with a local Giant Pacific Octopus at the Oregon Coast Aquarium where their large male had greeted me at first with eagerness and excitement, and then as he calmed he turned upside down in a completely trusting and vulnerable pose like this. Its also the very best point of view to understand the progression of the different sizes and functions of the suckers on its 8 legs and the positioning of the beak.
