Deep-Sea King-of-the-Salmon

According to legends of the Makah tribe of Neah Bay, Washington, this deep-sea fish leads Salmon out of the ocean and up their spawning rivers in the fall. Hence its “common” name. (It belongs to the Deep-Sea ribbon fish family.)
