Brandt’s Cormorant Wing Extended - Original

I found this specimen was he dup on the high tide line. This remarkable sea and river diving bird is an inspiration to me…Sleek and strong it “swims” underwater with great speed and grace. A fearsome hunter, it prefers forage fish which makes up most of its diet, though its wings are without oil like other birds, so it sits in the sun and drys them out between feedings.
