I hand printed this Gyotaku, (or fish rubbing) directly from the Halibut on MA rice paper with Gamblin Fine Art Inks, in September of 2017. Signed with species, location, my signature, red chop and date.
The story: This 39 lb Halibut was caught at a depth of 500 feet off of the Columbia River at the border of Oregon and Washington.
This one-of-a-kind original was printed on Mulberry paper with archival inks, and then mounted on a FSC birch panel with black lacquered edges and sealed with a matte varnish and UV coating. All panels are ready to be hung.
