Spawning Chinook - Original

This image depicts the ancient ritual of Salmon spawning. Cedar Boughs brush the waters of a coastal river. A male and female Chinook are swimming above their Redd, or spawning area. She has spent weeks preparing the stones to receive her eggs which she has just dropped. They both will perish soon after providing food for the insect sin the river who will in turn feed their young when they emerge months later...in an endless round of life.
