528 Year Old Red Cedar with Spring Bough

I loved the shape of this Red Cedar fragment and was AMAZED after printing it and then counting the years. The tree was young around the same time as Columbus was setting sail for the North American continent. Contrasting this is a small, fresh bough of new spring growth that was blown down from a local cedar during a big wind storm this March. The age old "youth and age" depicted.
