All My Relations - Gingko Tree

This image is from the “All My Relations” collection I created recently. It is of my hand filled with the delicate and beautiful leaves of the ancient Gingko tree. Often referred to as a “Living Fossil” this species dates back 200 million years, and is the only living tree species that shared the landscape with dinosaurs. These leaves are from a tree that grows on the Isle St Louis in the middle of Paris on the Seine River.
